What Fernly makes
Fernly creates personalised picture books in which your child is the hero of the story. Each book is written around one real worry or challenge your child is facing — meeting it head-on through a narrative built for them, with their name, and grounded in how children actually develop.
Books are printed 8×10 portrait, 32 pages, and delivered as a hardcover and a digital edition. They are made to be read together — by a parent and child, at bedtime, at a difficult moment, or whenever the story is needed.
Who made it
Created by an educator of 30 years across music, performance, writing, and beyond, Fernly is built around real child-development principles — the same research that informs how children understand narrative, process challenge, and carry meaning forward from stories they love.
The books are generated by the Fernly system and curated by the team at Alexandria Mind, Inc. Every output is reviewed against the same standards: dignity, accuracy to the child’s description, and fidelity to the developmental framing.
Our principles
- Created by an educator of 30 years across music, performance, writing, and beyond.
- Grounded in real child-development principles
- Your child’s photo is used only to make their book.
Every Fernly book is built on real developmental psychology and decades of teaching — educational, grounded, and yours to read your own way. It’s a story, not professional care.
The Carrying Books
Fernly is published under The Carrying Books — a literary imprint of Alexandria Mind, Inc. dedicated to stories that children carry with them. The imprint exists to hold work that is genuinely made for the child who receives it, not mass-produced content dressed in a name.
Alexandria Mind, Inc. is a small independent company. We are not a franchise, a licensing operation, or a publishing conglomerate. We make one kind of book, and we make it carefully.
