1. What Fernly is
Fernly is a service offered by Alexandria Mind, Inc. (“Alexandria Mind,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) that creates personalised picture books for children. Parents provide information about their child — including a name and, at the time of ordering, a photo — and Fernly generates a 32-page illustrated storybook tailored to that child.
Fernly books are educational and emotional-support content. They are stories — not medical advice, and not a substitute for professional care.
Fernly stories are educational and emotional-support content, not a substitute for professional mental health care. If your child is experiencing severe anxiety, depression, or distress, please consult a healthcare provider.
2. Who may use Fernly
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order or create an account on Fernly. Fernly books are created about children at the direction of a parent or legal guardian. Children do not create accounts or interact with the Fernly service directly.
By using Fernly, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child for whom you are ordering, and that you have the authority to provide the information and consent required.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Fernly to:
- Submit information about a child for whom you are not the parent or legal guardian.
- Upload photographs of persons other than the child named in the order.
- Attempt to deceive, defraud, or misrepresent yourself or the child subject.
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the Fernly system or its outputs at scale.
4. Ownership of your book
Once a Fernly book has been completed and delivered to you, you own the copy of that book for personal, non-commercial use. You may print, share, and read your book within your household and family.
Alexandria Mind, Inc. retains ownership of the Fernly system, the generation methodology, and the underlying story frameworks. You may not reproduce or resell books commercially, or represent the system output as original work created by yourself.
